SCRY’s collaboration with GUIDI is built on a shared avant-garde sensibility: a mutual sensitivity toward material, body, structure, and the form of footwear.
In these works, SCRY inserts an irregular openwork metal structure into the heel and suspends it across the rear of the boot, pinning the boot body in place like an orthotic device. This intervention reshapes the shoe’s weight, posture, and aggression. The bag follows the same logic, becoming an extension of this structural language.
This intervention gives the product a contradictory state: it appears repaired, yet further reinforced. The original GUIDI leather boot is placed under renewed pressure; the rear is locked by an external structure, shifting the shoe’s balance and silhouette. The metal components carry a sense of support, restraint, and exoskeletal construction, forming a relationship with the leather that feels almost nailed into place.
The rear heel structure of the footwear went through a long process of testing and adjustment. While preserving GUIDI’s artisanal texture and classic proportions, SCRY pushes the form toward something more exaggerated and more austere. The bag continues the same treatment. Supple horse leather, irregular metal hardware, and openwork structures come together to create a state close to wearable apparatus.

GUIDI SHOES CARE INSTRUCTIONS
GUIDI shoes are crafted in the finest skins available. These leathers are natural and unique: any incidental tonal variations, marks, veins and color releases due to the process of tanning and dyeing, are natural features and should not be considered as imperfections.
In order to keep the leather smooth, elastic and durable through time, nourish and clean the shoes as recommended below.
Wet shoes should be dried at room temperature. Do not expose them to any direct source of heat because it could damage the natural tanning of the skin and shorten the life of your shoes. During the drying process, leave some paper towels inside the shoes and replace them every three hours.
Lastly, place the shoes near a source of mild heat and when dry, nourish them with neutral cream.
To make sure that your shoes age beautifully we recommend you to:
• avoid over exposure to direct lighting and keep them away from direct sources of heat such as radiators and the inside of a car in summer;
• do not store in high temperature, humidity or unventilated areas;
• never store in a plastic bag.

To make sure that your bag and accessories age beautifully we recommend you to:
• protect them from humidity, avoid contact with liquids. If your bag and accessories come in contact with water they should be gently dabbed with a dry, non-fluffy, white cloth;
• avoid over exposure to direct lighting and keep them away from direct sources of heat such as radiators and the inside of a car in summer;
• do not store in high temperature, humidity or unventilated areas;
• never store in a plastic bag.
